Kyia, affectionately known as Chef K, received her classical training and diploma from Le Cordon Bleu but her love of the kitchen began at a very early age. Chef K is a full time High School educator, part time chef instructor at Sur la Table and all the time kitchen enthusiast. She is passionate about her faith, her family and her food! She invites you to fully immerse yourself in the joy of cooking! Henry David Thoreau once said, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” This is Chef K’s life mantra. Since her birth in Louisville, KY, to years spent in countless cities across the globe, she has made it a point to learn as much about the culinary arts as she can.
