New Desk #whoDis

This year has been something else. I won’t bore you with the details but I will say of all the people and things that I have lost — God did not forget about me.

At the end of 2017 I spent night after night praying crying, crying praying. I heard Him tell me to start showing people how to cook. So I started my own business to teach cooking classes and cater. But He said, that’s not big enough. So I applied for a part time job as a Chef Instructor. But God said, that’s not big enough.

I didn’t doubt Him. I enrolled in school …again! Like He said to do. I work full time & do my online classes at night. I stayed along the course. I prayed along the course. He said bigger and I didn’t know what bigger could possibly be. His plans for me are so much better than my dreams!

As I lock my classroom door, a first year teacher ending her first parent-teacher conference night, I am asking for your prayers & support! I am going into this chapter of my life with the greatness of God planted in me. Planted in my students. Planted in my classroom. I am SO blessed and excited!

You can make as many plans as you want, but know this family & friends … God’s purpose for you will prevail. I pray I can make you all proud as a high school Culinary Arts teacher.

Experienced teachers, what advice do you have for me? I’m all ears.
